Most of the facilities below do not bill insurance directly. They give receipts for customers to
submit to their insurances. Be sure to ask the store's policies.

TLC Tender Loving Care is a not-for-profit patient service of the American Cancer Society for women experiencing hair loss due to chemotherapy, radiation treatment or surgery. This service offers editorial advice from the experts, a large selection of hair loss products for cancer patients, special products for breast cancer patients and survivors. The headwear includes wigs, hairpieces (bangs, falls and sideburns), turbans, hats, head scarves, kerchiefs and other useful products. Mastectomy products include breast forms, pocketed post-surgery bras, swim suits and camisoles.

Windows of Hope at Beth Israel Hospital Windows of Hope is a specialty shop for men and women being treated for cancer. The shop offers products and resources such as wigs and hairpieces, breast prostheses, ostomy products, hats and scarves, books, CDs, and videotapes. It is also a place to share, laugh, and find inspiration. The shop is located on the 9th floor of the Carl J. Womens Image Center Non-surgical breast reconstruction where a cast of the chest and chest wall is made and a prosthesis is hand sculpted and colored. These are lighter and cooler than traditional ones and can be attached with medical adhesive to wear with regular bras and bathing suits. Insurance covered. Delivery is 6-8 weeks. Proprietor Mary Aframe also sells wigs and garments and has a bank of wigs and prostheses for uninsured women.

Y-ME is always in need of wigs and prostheses—if you'd like to donate a new or gently used product, please call 1-800-221-2141. They ask that your donation is in at least good condition and has been washed.
